Do you want to wear a King Tut Plus Size Costume this Halloween? You can dress as King Tut in at least two ways that I can think of right off the bat. First, it just depends on just how much work you want to put into your halloween costume.
The first, and the simplest King Tut Costume, involves wearing one of those bald wigs. I am talking about the things you wear over your head, which cover your hair, and make you seem totally bald. The next thing is to use black eyeliner and extend it along the sides of the eye.
For this King Tut outfit, you need to wear a one piece tunic, a golden belt and leather slippers. However, if you choose to dress this way and don’t go any further, most people wouldn’t even know that you are dressed as King Tut and would probably mistake you for a slave of that era.
As for the main King Tut Costume guys, wear a white tunic and dress it up with a few more accessories – different kinds of jewelry and belts would do fine. A golden belt tied around your waist or a multicolored egyptian belt or collar would be the perfect addition to any King Tut costume.
The next method is to dress up as a King Tut in the costume of a King Tut mummy. Very unique! And if you were going to be a King Tut mummy you might want to make your outfit look more mummy like by wrapping yourself up in loose bands of fabric over your white tunic (just to make sure that you don’t expose too much of yourself by mistake).
And you’ll probably want to add a few accessories to dress up your King Tut Plus Size Costume too. The King Tut artifact that is most well known is the actual King Tut mask. The real mask is golden and black in color and has a long goatee. People would instantly realize that you are dressed as King Tut if you wore something to this. And you can easily purchase this headpiece from almost any costume store near you. Just ask for the King Tut headpiece.
For the footwear, you can choose to wear plain leather sandals or go for the roman type shoes. Roman shoes are the ones which are netted and lace up to your knees. Roman shoes are easily available since many women wear them even today on a daily basis too. However, choose sandals that are comfortable to wear. Either type would make a good choice so I would suggest that you go for leather flip flop type sandals if you don’t already own a pair of the roman type shoes.
And there are certain artifacts which you could carry with you to add to your King Tut costume to make it even more authentic. One you might want to check into is an Egyptian sacrificial dagger.
But if you decide to carry this I would suggest you carry the dagger with great care so that you don’t accidentally stab someone with it. It is uniquely shaped – kind of like a cross with dual wavy horns near the top. It is golden in color with blue gems. You could buy this in the metallic, plastic finish and believe me it will certainly grab the attention of all the people at the Halloween parties you attend.
Don’t want to carry a dagger all night but would like some kind of egyptian artifact to use with your King Tut Plus Size costume? Then how about a staff? These are also often seen carried by the royalty of this age and are very attention grabbing. In a way it may be much lighter to carry than a dagger but a staff is much, much longer in length than the dagger. But they both look equally good.
All right now, we’re getting to the end. As for the facial makeup, powder your face to even out your complexion and then apply a little red colored rouge. Do not forget to use black eyeliner to outline your eyes, darken your eyebrows, eyelashes and also to extend it to the corner of your eyes.
And there, you go – you are good to go and ready to attend the Halloween party of your choice dressed as the man himself, King Tut. Overall, a pretty easy costume to dress up in but also one of the most recognizeable Halloween costumes on the planet. Have fun dressed up in your King Tut Plus Size costume and happy halloween.
